Sleuthing It Out

It has really been a while since my high school classmates and I have been together for dinner. There used to be a time when Friday nights meant camping in at one of my classmate’s backyard. Hmmm. I wonder where they are right now?

I’m not that old to be too nostalgic about it. However, there are many things that remind me of my high school buddies. It’s not surprising or unusual then to always wonder where they are or how they’re doing. It’s not that easy to get in touch with your former classmates. The saying that “life’s a constant change” is strongly felt after high school graduation. Everybody promises to stay the same and to keep in touch. More often than not though, these pledges are inadvertently broken or forgotten.I’m planning on inviting some of them for a small reunion after spring. I already lost my old phonebook. Although our yearbook has a list of the phone numbers and addresses of those who graduated that year, I doubt it if most of them still live in their former residences. Hence, I have to do a little sleuthing in order to contact some of my classmates.

I think it’s already easy to track them down considering that there are reliable databases on the Internet which could provide details as to the whereabouts of a certain person. My mom suggested that I hire the services of a private investigator. However, I’m quite reluctant to spend on something which I could do by myself.
