Why Finding Online Marriage Certificates is Easier than Ever

For all of us dating, we need to know how to access online marriage certificates fast. It may sound pessimistic, but this is reality.  Half of all marriages end in divorce and that is only the statistics for first marriages. When you start getting into second and third marriages, the statistics get worse. We need to know up front if the person we are dating is divorced and how many times.

The Old Way of Searching Marriage Certificates

Back in the old days, if you wanted to know if someone had been married before you had to ask the person and trust he or she would give you an honest answer. If they lied, you had no real way of knowing. You could hire a private detective to search through endless stacks of documents in dusty old buildings but that would cost tons of money. Thankfully, this is not the case anymore!

The New Way to Search Marriage Certificates
Now all you need is a computer, the Internet, a credit card, and the person’s name. You go online to the marriage records database and type in the person’s name. Of course, the more information you have, the better results you will get. Age is always good because that narrows the field down quite a bit. The city and state also narrows down the field.

Once you narrow the results down to a single name, you click submit and voila! You have the results for the man or woman you are looking for. It really is that simple. All the skeletons are out of the closet. You now know how many times the person you plan on dating has been married. (Then you can jump over to the divorce record site and see if they are actually divorced.)

Search FOIA Made Easy
Combine the Freedom of Information Act with the Internet and you have the easiest way to check the background of anyone you date. Arm yourself with the person’s full name and go online.

You can check:

  • Marriage Records
  • Birth Records
  • Death Records
  • Divorce Records
  • Adoption Records
  • Property Records
  • Vital Records
  • Background Records
  • Criminal Records

Start your online marriage certificate search today. The records are out there waiting for you. See what you can find.

Why there is No Such Thing as a Marriage Certificate Free of Charge

While surfing the internet, especially in search of vital statistics documents, you may have noticed ads that boast “Marriage Certificate Free.”  The fact is that there is no such thing.  You can get verification of the possibility of data existing online, but no service is going to give you the information they paid so much for, free of charge.

False Advertising for Marriage Records?
I for one really resent being led on.  When I enter information in any of these sites that offer free services, I inevitably end up on a page requesting me to pay.  It isn’t that the information isn’t worth paying for.  It is, but I don’t like being told it will be free, and then find out it isn’t.  It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

State Search for Marriage Records
If you want an actual, certified copy of your marriage certificate, you will need to apply either with the state clerk or the county clerk where you were married. Most states have records going back to the early 1900s, reliably, but earlier marriages may appear as well.

For a government-based search, you will need to visit the correct website for your state, apply, provide the groom’s name, the maiden name of the bride, the date of the marriage, and the location.  Some states will request that you explain your relationship to the people on the license and some form of ID.

The Better Way to Look Up Vital Records
Verify a marriage certificate free of hassle, and access all the databases held by all the states around the country.  This way you can search more general parameters and also get access to other public documents like criminal records, divorce records, and legal decrees.

Research Your Potential Employee using a People Search by SSN

A people search by SSN is the most accurate way to track someone’s past activities.  As an employer, you are required to pay taxes for your employees and for that, you need their SSN.  That SSN is also a window into their previous activities.

Criminal Records Revealed by SSN Records
If you are planning to hire someone and need to know that they haven’t been found guilty of certain crimes, try a people search by SSN to investigate their past is a great way to go.  At the risk of being politically incorrect, I will venture to say that you don’t want a former embezzler keeping your books, or a convicted pedophile working with children.

It is certainly true that ex-cons get a bad deal.  Even if they have successfully completed their sentence, the specter of a messy past can prevent them from finding gainful employment.  While it is illegal to deny someone a job based upon their criminal record, if they weren’t honest about it on an application, it is a fair bet that they won’t be honest in their employment.

Background Checks Reveal Financial Crimes
Former bankruptcies, liens, poor credit ratings are all accessible with an SSN.  It is unfortunate but true that those with a history of poor financial management are likely to repeat their errors over and over again.  If you want to avoid getting involved with a person with such a history, using their SSN to discover past problems can be very helpful.

People Search by Social Security Number for Employment Records
Each job a person holds is part of a chain of information about them.  People aren’t as honest as they could be when filling out job applications even when they don’t have anything to hide.  Those with something to hide are going to be even more cautious about the information they provide.

With an SSN, it is very simple to check out a person’s work history.  How long they stayed in a job, what they earned, and where they were is all right there for you to see.  Small exaggerations may be fine, but outright lies are definitely a no-no.

They are dealing with millions of requests for things like death benefits, disability, and other critical programs.  Your desire for information will be of a lower priority.  For quick and easy information, conduct your next people search by SSN online.  With a good online database, you can find out all you need using a social security number.

Learn How to get Criminal Records At Home if You Want to Protect Your Kids

You find yourself in a quandary; you need to go back to work, but are not sure how safe your kids are at home with a nanny.  If you learn how to get criminal records from a reliable online source, you can put at least some of your concerns to rest easily.

When Your Children Can’t Tell You

Young children are particularly vulnerable.  Unable to report on the actions of the adults in charge, they can be subjected to everything from simple yelling to much worse.

We have all seen the terrible images and damage that children have endured due to poor care and abusive adults.  I don’t know a single parent who isn’t terrified that something like that could happen to their kids.

Parents Must Find Criminal Records Themselves

Unfortunately, the kinds of adults who like to prey upon young children are unlikely to announce their intentions up front.  It is up to us, their parents, to protect them.  Of course it is always best to hire someone with excellent credentials, referred by a good friend, but that isn’t always possible.

Sometimes you just need to hope for the best and place an advertisement in the paper.  In this case, you want to do your homework particularly well.

Do Your Homework for Online Databases

Doing your homework in this situation means investigating each applicant with an online search service.  Online search services maintain large databases compiled from data all over the country to track public records of all sorts.

For your current purpose, it is their criminal databases that are of greatest interest.  You can go online, and in a few minutes find out if there are any criminal charges or convictions pertaining to the nanny you are considering.

It is also possible to do reverse searches on phone numbers you have been given for reference checks to see if they match up with the people named.

The process only takes a few minutes, can be done at any hour of the day or night and is very reasonably priced.  No parent should even consider hiring a stranger to watch their children without taking every precaution possible.  Take a look online, you will be pleased with what you find.

Investigate Criminal Records: How Many Stones Do You Leave Unturned?

Criminal records can present an interesting conundrum.  There are times when you may be invading someone’s privacy; there are others when you’re protecting your own..

How to Investigate Criminal Records

The good news is that criminal records aren’t as easy as some things to get into.  They aren’t necessarily open to the public – unless you live in a small town like the one I grew up in where the local paper, dubbed by a friend “The Weekly Astonisher” publishes every incident from traffic tickets on up – which keeps the idly curious from investigating their neighbors for no reason.

Finding Out Criminal Records of People Around Your Money and Kids

This means that you generally need to have a reason to do such a search and then hire someone to do it.  By the same token, there are a lot of good reasons for searching criminal records.  Anyone you’re going to have looking after your children or handling your money should be thoroughly vetted to see if they have a questionable background.

Who Do You Trust?

Nor is a criminal history necessarily something that will ruin someone’s employment chances.  You aren’t going to want to hire a former “professional” car thief as your chauffeur, but he’s probably safe to mow your lawn or paint the outside of your house.  As long as you’re home.  There’s trust and then there’s trust.

Do a background check of a person’s criminal records to keep you, your money and your family safe.  There’s no need to risk hiring an embezzler to handle your lottery winnings.
